Affiliate Disclosure

The short version

AutoYard Lab earns affiliate commissions. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy something after clicking one, the manufacturer or retailer may pay us a percentage of the sale. This costs you nothing extra and does not change the price you pay.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is a normal link with a tracking code attached, so the merchant can tell that you arrived from our site. Every affiliate link on AutoYard Lab is an external link: it takes you to the manufacturer's or retailer's own website, where the entire transaction happens.

We label these links clearly. Buttons that lead to a merchant read Check Price and open in a new tab, and they carry a short affiliate note directly beneath them.

We are not the seller

This is worth being explicit about, because the site looks like a store and is not one:

• We do not hold stock.
• We do not charge you for the product.
• We do not process orders, take payment details, or ship anything.
• We do not handle warranty claims, returns or refunds.

The manufacturer or retailer you are sent to does all of that, under their own terms and conditions and their own privacy policy. Your purchase contract is with them, not with us. If something goes wrong with an order, they are who you need to contact - though we would still like to hear about it, because a pattern of support problems is exactly the kind of thing our comparisons should reflect.

How commission affects what we publish

• Placement on our pages is not for sale. No manufacturer can pay to appear, to rank higher, or to have a criticism removed.
• We list and link models we advise against, with the reasons stated.
• Commission rates differ between programs. We do not rank by commission, and where we recommend a cheaper model over a more expensive one, we are usually recommending the lower commission.
• Where a model has no affiliate program at all, we still list it if it belongs in the comparison. The button simply is not a paid link.

Which programs we participate in

As of September 13, 2026: none. We have not yet been accepted into any affiliate program, so no link on this site currently earns us anything. Buy buttons for models whose programs we have not joined are shown as disabled and labelled “Affiliate link pending”.

We are stating this plainly because the policy above describes how we will operate once we are approved, and we would rather you know exactly where we stand today.

Prices and availability

Prices shown on this site are the figure we last verified, with the date of that check displayed next to it. Prices change frequently and we cannot guarantee that any figure here matches what you will see at checkout. The price on the merchant's own page at the moment you buy is the only one that counts.
